Rachel Howard

rachelwebRachel Howard serves Pittsburgh Youth Chorus and Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras as the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. She loves having the opportunity to reach as many young people as possible; enriching their lives with music, lifelong friendships, and once in a lifetime performance experiences. From 2007-2017 Rachel worked with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) operations team focusing in concert production and tour management and eventually expanded her role to take on artistic planning for the PNC Pops! Series and all popular programming initiatives. Rachel brought new programs to the stage including the premiere of the live orchestral performance of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and A Night of Symphonic Hip Hop featuring Nelly – successfully expanding the PSO’s reach in the Pittsburgh community.

In addition to her extensive arts management experience, Rachel is an accomplished harpist and was award first place in Duquesne University’s Women’s Advisory Board Scholarship Competition in 2005. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Technology from Duquesne University with concentrations in Sound Recording and Harp Performance, and a Master of Arts Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College.
